Laura Smith is the founder of College Admissions Unlocked and a nationally respected college admissions consultant who has guided hundreds of students to clear, confident, and compelling applications. Before launching CAU, Laura managed and led the world’s largest privately held college admissions consulting team, where she oversaw student strategy, essay development, and counselor training at scale.

She has helped students earn admission to top universities across the country and created a signature review framework that teaches students to express their strengths with clarity and authenticity. Laura partners with schools because she believes counselors deserve strong support, and students deserve accurate and accessible guidance. Her goal is to ease counselor workload, reduce stress, and help every student submit an application that reflects who they are and who they can become.
